Update 01/16/01: Well, it has been a LONG time coming, and I apologize for that too. A lot has happened since that last update. I busted up 2 of those Enkei's on a curb, and got a set of 17x7 TSW Revo's in there place. And just 2 weeks ago, I sold them off. I am now rolling on stock wheels and tires again. I like having my bottom end torque back. Only mod that has been done since then is the Indiglo Guages. They are a high quality piece, and somewhat easy to install. Here are a couple pics from a week or so ago, when I met up with jRock off of Focaljet.com

Update 08/01/00: I have decided to put a list of my modifications at the top of the page so that everyone visiting can quickly survey my car, and see what I am equipped with. Here it is:

            Tru-Rev Max Induction Intake
            Focussport Cat-back Exhaust
            Superchip
            Focussport Blue Spark Plug wires
Enkei RS6 17" wheels, wrapped in Rage Roadhugger 205/40/17
            H&R Springs
            Esslinger Underdrive Pulley

Planned mods include: Head port and polish, 3-angle valve job, JBA Header, Pro-M MAF, Venom Intake
Manifold, Some sort of aftermarket throttle body, Esslinger intake and exhaust cams, Energy Suspension
motor mount inserts, Eibach front and rear sway bars, Energy Suspension bushings. That is about all I can
think of for now. I will update soon again.

Update 06/29/00: Well, I have made a modification to my car that I didn't think was coming so soon! I am happy about it too......LOOK............!!!!!!!!!!!! I love my new Enkei RS6's. The car handles SO much better now!

Update 06/17/00: I finally hit 10,000 hits!!!! I want to thank everybody that comes to this site, for visiting and your input. Now, on with my normal comment. I think my next mod will be a Pro-M MAF, a new mass air meter. It is said to give a dyno proven 6-8fwhp on the Focus. I think my car will respond well to the MAF in the state it is in. I am still waiting on my JBA header. I was told I will have it in my hands by the 30th. I hope SO!!! I will be getting more pics up this coming Monday, or possibly this weekend if I have time. I plan on getting more shots of my engine bay, and the difference in ride height from my H&R Springs. I am SO happy with them, I cant believe how good this car handles now. Well, I will be updating again in the next 3 days or so, so....take care!

Update 06/8/00: Well, it has been a while since I last updated. I am very sorry for the delays. I finally got my mods on the car and I am waiting on one more. The JBA Header I ordered has been delayed two weeks. Lets see, I put on my exhaust, springs, plug wires, pulley, and a couple other little things with most of my money I had. Well, lets get to the pics already!

I notice a HUGE improvement with just the exhaust and pulley. The car has a lot more low end torque, which is exactly where I need it, considering my car is an auto. I highly recommend the pulley as one of the first mods to a ZX3.

Update 05/6/00: Well, I haven't had much to update my site with, but I thought I would post this message to let you guys know what is going on with me and my car. My next mods are going to be exhaust, plug wires, and pulleys. I hope to gain about 9-12fwhp out of these parts. I am going to hold off for a while on forced induction (supercharger + turbo), because I would like to see what everyone else is doing for more power, and I don't care to be the guinea pig, because this is my daily driver, and I have to have it to commute to school and work. I am also very interested in the Sean Hyland supercharger setup that is coming out soon. Click here for more details on that. They are suppose to be getting 200hp on a stock Focus with their supercharger. Let's see,  Focussport got some prototype cams from Kent Cams, and they will be dyno testing them soon. So I hope to see cams on the market soon. That is about it for now. I will be updating more often since my mods are very soon to arrive.

Click to enlarge dyno graphs (Not bad, 103.9HP at the wheels uncorrected, and 99.3HP corrected. Corrected is what my car would make on a 75 degree day with low to no humidity.) Dyno runs were done with ONLY open S&B Powerstack air filter element. No other mods were on car!

Generic horsepower conversion formulas: (These formula's don't necessarily apply to all cars, but to automatic Focus', I know they do according to my findings!)

Motor HP (or what manufacturers typically rate their cars, like the Focus 130bhp) ~~~~> Wheel HP  - Mhp * .8 = HP at wheels

Wheel HP ~~~~> Motor HP - Whp / .8 = HP at motor
